Each horse has been professionally carved with the utmost attention to equine anatomical detail, including sinewy muscle and tendons, veins and creases in the skin.
In fact, they are so detailed that even the individual teeth have grooves and the horseshoes have nail heads.
The manes and tails capture the motion of the leaping, jumping, flying horse and are safe from the budding little hairdresser in your family!
But it’s not just the carving that receives such attention. The craftsmanship carried through on these horses unifies every aspect of their construction.
They are carved from laminated solid timber, which creates a structure infinitely stronger than a single piece of wood. Traditional mortice and tenon joints are used.
The rockers are made from differing native Australian cabinet timbers, to compliment the colour of each horse. The turned ends are unique to each horse, and no two pairs are alike.
No rainforests or developing communities have been harmed in the making of these horses. |
